
Benson, Hauser Lift ICE over Calgary

Zach Benson had a four point game while Daniel Hauser made 24 saves as the Winnipeg ICE beat the Calgary Hitmen 5-2 Wednesday afternoon at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Benson's 30th goal of the season and three assists gives him 85 points. second in the WHL only behind Regina's Connor Bedard.
Matthew Savoie and Connor McClennon each scored twice as the ICE improved their record to 45-7-1. Winnipeg is the first team in the WHL to reach 90 points in the standings.
The ICE outshot Calgary 32-26. Goaltender Brayden Peters suffered the loss.
Maxim Muranov and Ethan Moore scored for the Hitmen.
Next action for Winnipeg is Friday night in Red Deer (7:30 on CFRW 1290 AM Radio / 8:00 on WHL Live via CHL TV).
