
Pats Face Rival Raiders on Friday

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats (9-12-0) end their six game road swing away from the Brandt Centre against the Prince Albert (8-12-1) Raiders on Friday at 7:00 p.m., at the Art Hauser Centre.
The Pats are coming off a 10-3 loss to the Calgary Hitmen on Sunday morning, ending the Alberta road trip 2-2. They gave up a season high 10 goals against and four in the third period in their second straight loss. Logan Nijhoff and Connor Bedard had 1G-1A, while Easton Armstrong scored his first of the season. The Pats penalty kill also allowed a season high four goals against while the power play went 0-for-3. The shots were equal for a second straight game, at 42-42.
For the Raiders, they are coming off a 4-3 overtime win over the Winnipeg ICE on Sunday where former Pat' Sloan Stanick scored the overtime winner. The Raiders have won their last two games after previously beating the Brandon Wheat Kings 2-1 on Saturday and finished the month of November with a 5-5 record.
The biggest news this week was how Prince Albert traded former captain and Montreal Canadiens first round pick Kaiden Guhle to the Edmonton Oil Kings in exchange for a package including Ottawa Senators prospect Carson Latimer, defenceman Eric Johnston, the 13th overall selection in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft, a first-round pick in the 2023 and several other late picks.

HEADLINES
Hockey Canada announced Wednesday that Regina Pats 2005-born forward Connor Bedard has been invited to Canada's National Junior Team Selection Camp...the North Vancouver, BC, native has totaled 17 points (11G-6A) this season, while leading the Pats in goals.
Tanner Howe scored three goals and one assist in the tournament, helping lead Team Black to a 5-4 gold medal overtime win over Team Red at the U17 Capital City Challenge...Director of Hockey Ops Landon Watson also received gold, while asst. coach Brad Herauf earned bronze.
Logan Nijhoff was handed a three game suspension on Tuesday after he received a five minute major and a game misconduct for an illegal hit on Sunday in Calgary...Zack Stringer will return from his two game suspension tonight.
BY THE NUMBERS

109: Shots on goal for Regina Pats forward Connor Bedard leads the WHL...the North Vancouver native is averaging 5.19 shots on net per contest along with 11 goals and 17 points in 21 games...he has 5G-2A over his last seven games, with points in five of those seven contests.
310: Faceoff wins for Pats captain Logan Nijhoff is the second highest total in the WHL behind of Prince Albert's Reece Vitelli (313)...he went 13-16 on the faceoff dot on Sunday in Calgary and holds 57.8 faceoff win percentage this season, which leads the Pats.
