The Winnipeg ICE have recalled defenseman Brandt Young from the Winnipeg Blues of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
The 18 year old from Neepawa, Manitoba has three assists in six games with the Blues this season. Young also played eight games with the MJHL's Portage Terriers prior to being acquired by the Blues.
Listed at 5'11", 180 pounds, Young was +4 and accumulated 21 penalty minutes in 17 games with the ICE last season.
He was selected by the Spokane Chiefs in the 10th round, 208th overall in the 2018 Prospects Draft.
The ICE are back in action against the Saskatoon Blades tonight and tomorrow at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena. Both games start at 7:00.
