The Saskatoon Blades (12-9-1-0) are in Manitoba for the third meeting of the season against the Winnipeg ICE (21-1-1-0).

This is the first of back-to-back matches at Wayne Fleming Arena, with Saturday's closer set for 7:00pm.

The Blades are coming off a three-game trip through Alberta last weekend which began with a 3-1 victory in Red Deer, followed by back-to-back regulation losses in Calgary and Edmonton.

These two-games in Winnipeg wrap up a stretch of nine-straight matches away from home for Saskatoon. So far, the Blades have gone 2-5-0-0 on this stretch.

They'll return to SaskTel Centre for the first time since November 9th next Friday, December 10th against the Calgary Hitmen.

Who to Watch

Forward Trevor Wong led the Blades in scoring with three goals and two assists in last weekend's three-game trip through Alberta. This includes scoring the opening marker, and game-winner against Red Deer in a 3-1 victory. The Vancouver, BC product has equaled his career-high in goals with six on the campaign, which is fifth-highest on the team.

Defenceman Tanner Molendyk has returned to the Blades after capturing gold for Team Canada Black U17 at the Capital City Challenge. The McBride, BC product notched one assist in all five games to give him a tournament total of five points.

Alternate captain Kyle Crnkovic notched his team-leading 12th goal of the season last Sunday in Edmonton; part of a four-point weekend for the Chestermere, AB product. The 2002-born sniper has led the Blades in shots on goal all season long, now up to 81 on the year, and has multi-point performances in two of his last three games.

Saves for Hunger

This season, The Saskatoon Blades have partnered with Nutrien to launch the "Saves for Hunger" Campaign. For every save a Blades netminder makes this season, Nutrien is donating $5 to a local organization. Blades goaltenders have made 643 saves so far, running the tally up to 3215 raised as the team heads into Winnipeg.
