Parks Named CCM/ECHL Goaltender of the Week

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Mavric Parks has been named CCM/ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Feb. 19-25, announced Tuesday by the ECHL.
Parks, 27, led the Mavericks to a weekend sweep of the Allen Americans with 48 saves on 51 shots faced, including a 22-save shutout in Saturday's game.
On Friday, Parks made 26 saves on 29 shots faced as the Mavericks erased a 3-1 second-period deficit en route to their fourth win of the season when trailing after two periods of play.
The 5-foot-10, 172-pound netminder was acquired by the Mavericks on Thursday, Feb. 15 from the SPHL's Birmingham Bulls. He has gone 2-1-0-0 so far this season with a 2.02 GAA and .928 Save Percentage.
The Mavericks return to action tonight against the Rapid City Rush, a 7:05 p.m. puck drop, and will welcome Fort Wayne to Silverstein Eye Centers Arena on Friday and Saturday.
