
9th Annual Police vs. Fire this Saturday

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, will host the ninth annual Allen Police vs. Allen Fire Charity Hockey Game this Saturday afternoon at 5:05 pm at Allen Event Center. Then stay for the Allen Americans vs the Rapid City Rush at 7:05 pm.
Come support our first responders, as the Police and Fire Departments square off in the Battle of the Badges! This year's game will feature new elements, including an appearance by head coach Steve Martinson and a hardest shot competition between both teams, along with a couple of other surprises.
"This is such a competitive game," said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. "These guys really take it seriously. I hope fans come out and support both teams."
The event has grown in attendance and support each year, with the biggest crowd yet to date expected this Saturday. It's two hockey games for the price of one with tickets on sale NOW at Allen Event Center Box Office for the hockey doubleheader. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales goes towards the Allen Public Safety Recovery Fund.
