Parkes Assigned to Walleye; Lampl to Grand Rapids

(Toledo, OH) - Forward Trevor Parkes has been reassigned by the NHL's Detroit Red Wings from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League to the Toledo Walleye. Defenseman Cody Lampl has signed a Player Tryout Agreement with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.

Parkes has appeared in 34 games with Grand Rapids and has 7 points (3g, 6a), plus 4 points (2g, 2a) in three games with Toledo. The Fort Erie, Ontario native appeared in four games last year with Toledo, scoring four goals. In 44 games last year with the Griffins, the 21 year old posted 2 goals and 6 assists. The 6'2", 202 pound forward had 60 goals and 49 assists in his junior career with Montreal in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Lampl has appeared in 53 games this season with the Walleye, netting 5 goals with 8 assists. The native of Ketchum, Idaho is currently a plus 16, which leads Toledo. The 26 year old played in one game with Abbotsford in the AHL during the 2010-11 season.
