The Silvertips tacked on another three goals on 18 shots in the second, extending their lead to 5-0 after two.

The first penalty of the game, committed by Kamloops' forward Zane Franklin, came at 6:20 into the second and eventually led to the first power play goal of the game. Dewar potted his 28th goal on the season at 7:51 off a wrister from the far circle off a feed from Wylie from the blue line.

Mitchell recorded his first goal of his WHL career at 9:19 into the second. Price finessed a pass in front of the crease, leaving Mitchell a tap-in goal. Dewar also picked up an assist on the play, giving him a multi-point game.
