
Pair of Blades named to All-ECHL Teams

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced today that team captain Kevin Baker was named to the All-ECHL First Team and that defenseman Peter Metcalf was selected to the All-ECHL Second Team, as selected by a vote of ECHL coaches.
Baker currently leads the ECHL with 57 goals, 100 points, 27 power-play goals, 48 power-play points and 10 game-winning goals. The 29-year-old became the first ECHL player since 2000-01 to score 50 goals when he reached the milestone on March 17 vs. Charlotte and his 57 goals currently rank 11th in league history.
The Kingston, Ontario native is currently tied for the league record for power-play goals and is the 63rd player in ECHL history to score 100 points a feat he accomplished on April 1 vs. Gwinnett. In the last three seasons Baker has 122 goals and 237 points in 174 regular season games and was chosen to be a starter in the ECHL All-Star Game in 2007 and 2009. He was also selected to the All-ECHL First Team in 2006-07 when he tied for fifth with 81 points (36g-45a).

G - Jean-Philippe Lamoureux, Alaska Aces (50 gp, 32-16-2, 2.33 GAA, .922 Save Pct.)
Metcalf currently leads ECHL defensemen with 59 points and is second with 50 assists, 37 power-play points and 30 power-play assists in 56 games. The 30-year-old was named ECHL Defenseman of the Year in 2007-08 and was runner-up for the award in 2006-07.
The Pembroke, Massachusetts native is two points shy of matching his career high of 61 points and three assists from tying his career high of 53. The two-time Kelly Cup Champion was also named First Team All-ECHL in 2007-08 and 2006-07 and Second Team All-ECHL in 2005-06. Metcalf led ECHL defensemen in 2007-08 with 60 points and 53 assists and in 2006-07 with 61 points and 48 assists while finishing second in 2005-06 with 52 points.
