Reading Royals News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that the defenseman Dinos Stamoulis has been loaned to the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. In separate transactions completed earlier this week, the Royals: (i) activated forward Ryan Gibbons from the 30-Day Injured Reserve; (ii) placed forward Joe Cooper on the 7-Day Injured Reserve; and (iii) released forward Eric Giosa.

This marks the second trip of the season to the AHL for Stamoulis, who played one game for the Providence Bruins in early March. In sixty-eight games with the Royals this year, Stamoulis, who was named the team captain on March 10, has scored five goals, assisted on twelve others (seventeen points) and racked up 104 penalty minutes.

The Royals face the Trenton Devils on Friday (April 3, 2009 @ 7:05) at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. Friday's game will be broadcast live on the Royals Radio Network Presented by Transmissions by Arbogast (True Oldies WRAW 1340 am in Reading; and The Ticket WLAN 1390 am in Lancaster), as well as on the internet via webcast hosted by Sportsjuice.com, which can be accessed through the Royals website.
