P-Nats to Celebrate Ghostbusters 35th Anniversary Night

June 28, 2019 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Potomac Nationals News Release

Woodbridge, VA - Former teachers at a University in New York have signaled paranormal activity at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge, VA. With New York City rid of most similar issues because of the actions taken out of an old firehouse, ectoplasmic residue was reported at the home of the Potomac Nationals. The P-Nats have partnered with Loyal Hygiene Solutions and Northwest Federal Credit Union to bring former Potomac SS Carter Kieboom and his proton pack to the ballpark to eliminate the paranormal activity at the Carolina League Affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

While Kieboom and the staff at the ballpark have been warned not to cross their proton energy streams, they made need to do so in order to eliminate the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, which will be adorned upon the jerseys of every Potomac player and coach. If fans in attendance wish to take home what remains of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man after the game, they may do so via a silent jersey auction during the game, with all proceeds to benefit the Environmental Protection Agency (Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation).

In miniature bobblehead form, Northwest Federal Credit Union has made sure that 1,000 different Kieboom's will be ready to go with proton pack in hand. Fans are encouraged to make sure that they do not cross the proton energy streams, at least until the game against the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Kansas City) is complete. If fans want to take home a Kieboom bobblehead, they should arrive early, as there have been reports that Gozer the Gozerian has made plans to get back into this dimension close to first pitch at 6:35pm.

If reports about Gozer are incorrect, and the interdimensional being stays away, fans can get their own look the potential ectoplasmic residue and see if they can guess what's in it, both at Fan Assistance and during a mid-inning break on the field.

Efforts by the P-Nats to keep both Gozer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from taking over the ballpark will include Ghostbusters music, sound effects, and video board items, as the P-Nats don't want any ghosts, interdimensional beings, or other paranormal presences at Northwest Federal Field if at all possible.

If the P-Nats, Kieboom, and all fans at the ballpark on Saturday night are able to keep anyone from taking over The Pfitz, Glory Days Grill will allow all kids to run the bases after the game. Similarly, if there is no paranormal activity detected once the game is over, WTOP will celebrate the success with a post-game fireworks spectacular.

In an effort to make sure all current and future Ghostbusters can continue their much-needed work, Inova will host a blood drive at the ballpark from 3:00pm-7:00pm.

While the Ectomobile has prior commitments, Dave Stinso GEICO will have the GEICO Race Car outside of the Ticket Office to help out the P-Nats.

First pitch for Potomac's Ghostbusters 35th Anniversary celebration is scheduled for 6:35pm on Saturday, July 6th. Gates to the general public will open at 5:00pm.
