
Hall Named to Futures Game

FREDERICK, MD - The Frederick Keys are excited to announce that DL Hall will be participating in the 2019 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game on Sunday, July 7 at 7 p.m. In its 21st season, the Futures Game features some of Minor League Baseball's top prospects as part of All-Star Sunday. In addition to Hall, the Orioles are represented by Grayson Rodriguez of the Low-A Delmarva Shorebirds.
Hall, 20, is 2-3 with a 4.25 ERA in 13 games (12 starts) for the Keys this season. Over 48.2 innings, the Georgia native has struck out 73 and allowed just 37 hits. His strikeout percentage is a robust 33.6%, while he averages 13.5 punch outs per nine innings. For the year, opponents are slashing .288/.366/.288 against Hall with a .654 OPS.
In May, Hall registered a 4.05 ERA in five games (four starts) go with 36 strikeouts in 20 innings. This included three games where he allowed one run or less. He also picked up his first pro save on May 9, tossing four shutout innings against Potomac.
Selected by the Orioles in the first round of the 2017 Draft out of Valdosta (GA) High School, Hall posted a 2.70 ERA in 22 games (20 starts) with Delmarva in 2018 and struck out 100 in 94.1 innings. He was named the Orioles Minor League Pitcher of the Month in July.
Entering 2019, Hall was rated as the No. 54 prospect in the MiLB by Baseball America and the No. 2 prospect in the Orioles system.
Hall and Rodriguez will compete on the American League Futures roster, as for the first time in its history the Futures Game will shift to an American League vs. National League format. The game will be played at Progressive Field in Cleveland, with the AL team being managed by Hall of Famer Jim Thome and the NL roster will be skippered by four-time All-Star Dennis Martinez.
The Keys continue their four-game series with Wilmington on Friday night at Nymeo Field. Right-hander David Lebron (2-2, 3.94) starts for Frederick and will be opposed by Wilmington right-hander Jonathan Bowlan (1-0, 0.00). First pitch is at 7:00 p.m. and the broadcast can be heard starting at 6:45 on frederickkeys.com and the TuneIn app.
