P-Bruins' unbeaten streak ends

The Providence Bruins saw their 3-0-1-0 unbeaten start to the 2003-04 season come to an end on Friday night at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, as they fell to the Albany River Rats, 3-2. The Bruins are now in third place in the Atlantic Division, just one point behind the division-leading Lowell Lock Monsters and Hartford Wolf Pack.

Bruin left wing Ivan Huml tallied his first goal of the season, while center Kris Vernarsky added his third of the year. Goaltender Tim Thomas stopped 28 of the 31 shots he faced. His record is now 1-1-1 for the season.

The "Weekend with the Bruins" continues when the Black and Gold hosts the Lowell Lock Monsters on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. The action concludes with a match against the Manchester Monarchs on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m.
