Hershey Bears News Release

The BEARS are 4-0-1-0 entering play tonight at Binghamton, with the lone tie coming at Syracuse on October 11. The Senators opened the season with five straight wins, but lost their last time out against Bridgeport 1-0. Peter Budaj, who is second in the AHL in victories, is expected to get the start in goal tonight at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

With a win tonight, head coach Paul Fixter would claim the record for best career start by a BEARS head coach. Herb Mitchell currently holds the team record, after his 5-1-0-0 start in the BEARS' inaugural season of 1938-39. With a win tonight and tomorrow at home against Rochester, the BEARS could claim the best start in franchise history after seven games.

Tonight's game from the Southern Tier can be heard on BIG 92.7 FM and www.pennlive.com. John Walton, in his second season behind the microphone for the BEARS, calls the play-by-play.
