Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins begin a three-game weekend on Friday, October 25, when they host their North Division rivals, the Worcester IceCats, at 7:05 p.m. It is the first of 10 meetings on the season between the Route 146 rivals, who are deadlocked at 38-38-4 in their all-time series. The Bruins will follow up Friday's game with their only Saturday home game of the season, as they host the Lowell Lock Monsters at 7:05 p.m. The weekend concludes on Sunday afternoon in Worcester, as the Bruins and IceCats face off at 4:05 p.m.
Bruin head coach Mike Sullivan was known throughout his 11-year playing career in the National Hockey League as a top-flight penalty killing forward. His club has followed suit, currently ranking third in the American Hockey League with a 91.7% success rate on the kill (34/37). The Black and Gold also leads the AHL with three shorthanded goals (Andy Hilbert â 2, Keith Aucoin â 1).

WORCESTER: Ds Terry Virtue and Steve Bancroft and RW Eric Nickulas were all members of the Bruins' 1999 Calder Cup championship team...D Aris Brimanis played for Providence in 1999-2000...Rookie C John Pohl leads the team and is tied for fifth among AHL rookies with 3-2-5 totals in three games.
