
Former Bulldog Claimed on Waivers by Washington

Former Hamilton Bulldogs defenceman Alex Henry has been claimed on waivers by the Washington Capitals. Henry had been with the Edmonton Oilers, a parent club of the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Henry, a native of Elliott Lake, Ontario, played three seasons for the Hamilton Bulldogs. During the 2001-02 season, the 6'6", 232-pound defenceman played in 69 games for the Bulldogs registering 4g-8a-12pts and 143 penalty minutes.
Henry was the Edmonton Oilers second choice (3rd round), 67th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut on October 10th against the Philadelphia Flyers. He played in three games with the Oilers this season, while going scoreless.
