Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs got back into the win column on Wednesday night as they defeated the Rochester Americans 5-1 at Copps Coliseum. The Bulldogs record now improves to four wins and one loss.
The Bulldogs were led offensively by Jani Rita and Tomas Plekanec, who each scored two goals on the night, respectively. Centre Jarret Stoll, the game's first star, scored Hamilton's other goal.
Goaltender Mathieu Garon made his first start for the Bulldogs since being assigned to Hamilton for conditioning purposes from Montreal. Garon was victorious as he stopped 21 of 22 shots. Ryan Miller made 31 saves in goal for Rochester.
The Bulldogs next action takes place this weekend as the Bulldogs travel to Saint John, New Brunswick to face the Flames. Game times on Friday and Saturday are 6:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., respectively. Fans can listen to Derek Wills call all the action on 820 CHAM-AM.
