P-Bruins fall to Worcester

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins began a three-game weekend against North Division rivals on Friday night at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence, as the Black and Gold fell to the Worcester IceCats, 5-2. The game was the first of 10 between the Route 146 rivals this season, and the first of two between the clubs this weekend. The teams will face off again in Worcester on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m. Game coverage can be heard live on WDDZ AM-550.

Bruin forwards Andy Hilbert (4) and Pat Leahy (1) tallied for Providence. Hilbert, who converted on a power play, leads the team with 4-2-6 totals in the young season. Rookie defenseman Shaone Morrisonn earned an assist on Hilbert's goal for his first professional point.

Goaltender Andrew Raycroft stopped 32 shots and is 2-2-1 on the season.

The Bruins get right back to action as they host their only Saturday home game of the season on October 26 at 7:05 p.m. The Lowell Lock Monsters come to town in another North Division battle.
