Grand Rapids Griffins News Release

Grand Rapids, Mich. - Pizza lovers throughout Grand Rapids could have their favorite Domino's Pizza delivered to their house by a Grand Rapids Griffins player this Monday, Oct. 28, as part of the team's new "Delivering the Dough" benefit for the March of Dimes.

From 5:30-7:30 p.m., five Griffins players will accompany Domino's drivers on routes in seven delivery areas. For persons placing a delivery order during that time, there is a chance that their pizza will be brought to their front door by either Gregor Baumgartner, Ed Campbell, Marc Lamothe, Joey MacDonald or Dave Van Drunen.

Those patrons lucky enough to be greeted by one of the Griffins will receive a free two-liter of cola and have their photo taken with the player, compliments of Domino's.

As part of the promotion, Domino's will donate a percentage of the entire day's sales from all area stores to the March of Dimes, to assist its mission of improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality. Griffins players will be based out of the following Domino's store locations:

* Campbell - 60th Street and Kalamazoo St. (5:30-6:30) / 29th Street and Breton Rd. (6:30-7:30)

* Lamothe and MacDonald - 36th Street and Byron Center Ave. (5:30-7:30)

* Van Drunen - 3678 Plainfield Rd. NE (5:30-6:30) / 1602 Leonard NW (6:30-7:30)

* Baumgartner - 7277 Thornapple River Dr. SE - Ada (5:30-6:30) / 1335 Lake Dr. (6:30-7:30) "Delivering the Dough" is the first of several new community relations initiatives that will be launched by the Griffins this fall and winter.

Domino's and the Griffins will deliver the dough two more times this season for the March of Dimes, including Monday, Jan. 13 and Monday, March 3.
