Allen assigned to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks announced that they have assigned defenceman Bryan Allen to the Manitoba Moose. This season, Allen had played in four NHL matches and registered his first career NHL goal with six penalty minutes.

During the 2001-02 season, the Kingston, ON native played in 68 matches for the Moose and registered 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists) with 121 penalty minutes. In the 2002 AHL Playoffs, he played in five contests with one assist and 8 PIM. Allen, 22, also played in 11 NHL games with Vancouver during last season and had 6 PIM.
