
P-Bruins Fall to Devils 4-2

Albany, NY - The Providence Bruins fell to the Albany Devils 4-2 Saturday evening at the Times Union Center. The P-Bruins got their goals from Craig Cunningham and Maxime Sauve.
The Devils took a 1-0 lead at 7:30 of the opening frame. Darcy Zajac tallied his eighth goal of the season, while Eric Gelinas and Nathan Perkovich recorded the assists. Providence responded with a goal at 16:12 of the frame. Carter Camper held the puck and passed it to Josh Hennessy in the zone. He found Cunningham who put the puck in the back of the net for his 20th goal of the season. The game went into the first intermission tied at one.
Albany retook the lead with a goal at 1:16 of the second period. Mattias Tedenby tallied his fifth goal of the season, while Steve Zalewski and Matt Anderson picked up the assists. The Devils added to their lead at 17:57 of the frame when Tim Sestito scored his ninth goal of the season. Perkovich assisted on the goal. Albany led 3-1 going into the second intermission.
Providence pulled within a goal at 8:11 of the third frame. Sauve put the puck past Albany net minder Jeff Frazee for his tenth goal of the season. Ryan Spooner and Jamie Arniel assisted on the goal. The Devils finished off the scoring at 12:48 of the frame. Mike Sislo scored his ninth goal of the season. Zajac and Sestito assisted on the goal. Albany held on for the 4-2 victory.
Adam Morrison came up short for the P-Bruins blocking 35 of 39 shots, while Frazee blocked 34 shots to get the win. The P-Bruins did not have a power play and were 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
The P-Bruins return to The Dunk Sunday to face off with the Portland Pirates. The puck drops at 4:05 p.m. for Team Poster Day presented by University Orthopedics.
