
Barons Clinch Western Conference Regular Season Title

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons 5-2 win over the Texas Stars on April 14 clinched the Western Conference regular season title. The Oklahoma City Barons record of 45-21-4-5 and 99 points is the best in the conference will give the Barons home ice advantage throughout playoff games against Western Conference opponents.
Playoff tickets for the Barons home playoff games are on sale now. To celebrate the Barons second consecutive berth in the Calder Cup playoffs, the Barons are offering a $10 ticket for any seat in the upper bowl of the Cox Convention Center any first round playoff game.
The $10 tickets are on sale immediately at 232-GOAL (4625) as well as all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Cox Convention Center box office and online at Ticketmaster.com. The $10 ticket offer applies only to tickets for the Barons first round home playoff games purchased via Ticketmaster.
A complete playoff schedule will be released following the conclusion of play tomorrow afternoon.
Barons head coach Todd Nelson has guided the Barons to 40 wins for the second straight campaign. This season, he and his staff added West Division and Western Conference champions to their list of accomplishments. Earlier this week, Barons goaltender Yann Danis was named the AHL's Most Outstanding Goaltender for the 2011-12 season.
The Barons close out their regular season tomorrow afternoon on the road against the San Antonio Rampage at 3:30 p.m. The game can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
