
P-Bruins Fall to Admirals 5-1

Norfolk, VA - The Providence Bruins fell to the Norfolk Admirals 5-1 Friday evening at the Norfolk Scope. The P-Bruins got their goal from Jamie Tardif. The P-Bruins are back at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday for BankRI Rally Towel Night at 7:05 p.m. against the Connecticut Whale.
The Admirals took a 1-0 lead at the 7:34 mark of the opening period, while on the power play. Blair Jones tallied his first goal of the season, with Matt Fornataro and Cory Conacher recording the assists. Providence tied the game at one at the 11:16 mark, while on the power play. David Warsofsky held the puck at the point and passed it down the boards to Carter Camper. He found Tardif in the low slot, who scored his seventh goal of the season. The game went into the first intermission tied at one.
Norfolk made it 2-1 at the 9:41 mark of the second period. Ondrej Palat netted his first goal of the season, while Pierre-Cedric Labrie and Mike Vernace picked up the assists. The Admirals took a 3-1 advantage at the 18:19 mark. Labrie scored his fourth goal of the season, while Mike Angelidis and Jean-Philippe Cote got the assists. Norfolk led 3-1 going into the second intermission.
The Admirals took a 4-1 lead at the 9:00 mark of the third period. Radko Gudas tallied his fourth goal of the season, while Trevor Smith had the lone assist. Norfolk finished off the scoring at the 18:30 mark with a shorthanded, unassisted goal. J.T. Wyman netted his fourth goal of the season. It was unassisted. The Admirals went onto the 5-1 victory.
Michael Hutchinson stopped 39 of 43 shots for the P-Bruins, while Dustin Tokarski made 17 saves for the Admirals. The P-Bruins were 1-for-7 on the power play and 6-for-7 on the penalty kill.
The P-Bruins wrap up their three game road trip Saturday at the Norfolk Scope against the Admirals at 7:15 p.m. The P-Bruins return to The Dunk Friday for BankRI Rally Towel Night at 7:05 p.m. against the Whale.
