Cade Fairchild Returns from St. Louis

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned defenseman Cade Fairchild to the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Fairchild, 21, has appeared in 17 games with the Rivermen this season, recording six points (two goals, four assists) and a +13 rating. The 5'11, 175-pound defenseman spent the last four years at the University of Minnesota where he accrued 93 points (21 goals, 72 assists) in 149 games.
The Duluth, Minnesota native was drafted by the Blues in the fourth round, 96th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
The Rivermen take on the Chicago Wolves in the first of two meetings this weekend on Saturday at Allstate Arena. The game will start at 7 p.m. CDT and can be heard locally on CD Country 107.9 FM or online through www.rivermen.net.
