
Owen Hardy, Kaleb Bulych Named to Vancouver Canucks Young Stars Classic Roster

Vancouver, B.C. - Two Vancouver Giants will gain some valuable NHL experience prior to the start of the 2018-19 WHL season. 1999-born forward Owen Hardy and 2000-born defenceman Kaleb Bulych have both been invited to suit up for the Vancouver Canucks in the 2018 Young Stars Classic taking place September 7th - September 9th in Penticton, B.C.
Owen Hardy was selected by the Giants in the second round (42nd overall) in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft. Hardy has suited up in 166 career games with the Giants and in that span has compiled 21 goals and 25 assists for 46 points. Last season the Nanaimo, B.C. native set a new season high in goals (11) assists (12) and penalty minutes (52) through 56 games.
Kaleb Bulych was selected by the Giants in the second round (27th overall) in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. The 6'3" rearguard suited up in 63 games last season for the Giants and recorded a goal and eight assists for nine points. Over the course of three seasons, the product of Yorkton, SK has appeared in 80 games with the Giants.
The Giants will kick off their 2018 pre-season schedule this weekend with three games in a span of three days in Everett, WA. Friday the Giants battle the Seattle Thunderbirds at 11:30 AM.
