Evansville Otters News Release
Ben Foster threw his first professional complete game as the Evansville Otters defeated the Kalamazoo Kings 6-1 to sweep a three game series.
The Otters got on the board in the first on a two out, bases loaded single by Jud Kindle to make it 2-0. A two out RBI be Denver Stuckey made it 3-0 in the second. Evansville scored single runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh to put the game away.
The only Kings run came in the fourth when they put together three of their five hits in the contest.
Other than the fourth inning, Foster (4-1) was masterful, allowing Kalamazoo only five hits over nine innings. The Evansville starter walked two and struck out six.
Evansville now returns home after a 4-2 roadtrip to face the Florence Freedom and Richmond Roosters on a six-game homestand. Bryan Shartzer will start Monday night for Evansville.
