Grizzlies drop wild one at GMC Stadium

Despite coming back to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Grizzlies dropped a wild game at GMC Stadium, falling 15-13 in 10 innings. Freddy Lopez hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to erase a 13-10 deficit, only to see the lead dissappear in the top of the 10th inning. The two teams combined for 68 runs (34 each) in the three-game series.

The Grizzlies drop to 10-20. The Roosters improve to 14-16.

Lopez and Jimmy Reiter each had three RBIs on the night. Whit Pierce added two, including a solo home run. Todd Oetting, Phil Warren, Brandon Averill, and Gary Gilbert each added an RBI apiece.

Ryan Hamilton took the loss in relief. Hamilton gave up the home run in the top of the 10th inning. Hamilton went 2 innings, allowing three runs on three hits.

The Grizzlies head on the road for a three-game series at Windy City. Game time Monday night is 7:05. Fans can tune in to 1380 ESPN Radio beginning at 6:50 p.m.
