Evansville Otters News Release
Evansville, Ind. - Evansville came out on the short end of a pitchers duel as they fell 1-0 to River City at Bosse Field on Monday afternoon. Rascal's pitcher Scott Fogelson (3-6) pitched a complete game three hit shutout, and only allowed one base runner past second base. Otter's starter Billy Phillips (0-3) came out on the short end as he takes the complete game loss, his second in a row.
After Phillips carried a no hitter into the sixth inning, the Rascals first hit of the day came on a two out triple, and that was followed by a Brad Hough double which plated the only run of the game. Tom Pennino led the Evansville offense as he collected two of the Otters three hits.
The Otters will go for the series win against the Rascals on Tuesday evening, as they send Evansville native Aaron Rogers to the mound against 2007 All-Star Toro Trevino, with first pitch slated for 7:05 CDT.
