The Kalamazoo Kings were shelled 8-1 by the Florence Freedom Monday Night. The Freedom cranked out 16 hits, including 5 doubles and a HR, on Trent Lare and Jimmy Holm. The Kings bats struggled, only collecting their one run on a Mike Russell and accumulating 11 strikeouts. Tempers flared twice during the game and two Freedom players and two Freedom coaches were ejected. Benches cleared after Kyle Kmiecik was beaned in the 7th inning, but nothing transpired.
