Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League, announce team president, Paul L. Pickard has been selected to the Chairman of the ECHL Rules Committee.
The Rules Committee, under direction of the Chairman (Pickard) shall be in charge with the following:
The annual review and update of the Rules as they relate to play in the ECHL. Through the ECHL VP of Hockey Operations, communicate with the NHL and AHL on an annual basis as to rule changes that occur in those leagues that may, at the recommendation of the Committee, be implemented by the ECHL. Communication regarding officiating and officiating standards and direction within the League. Review and recommend, if necessary, modifications to ECHL rules related to penalties for physical, restraining, stick or other fouls. Rules related to the overall flow of the game and overall League play and procedures. Issues related to the playing surface, equipment and regulations related to the competition aspect of players and on-ice performance. For more information about Paul L.
