Evansville Otters News Release
Traverse City, MI - One of the best played game by the Otters this season stopped the losing streak at seven games as Evansville knocked off Traverse City by a final of 6-4. The Otters took an early 3-0 lead in the second inning, but it seemed like every time they scored, the Beach Bums had an answer. The Bums tied it in the bottom of the second, Daniel Burton led off the third with a homerun to retake the lead, but Traverse City hit on of their own to tie it in the bottom of the frame. That would be all they'd get however. Paced by a strong performance from Mark Murray, who relieve an ineffective Mike Greenhouse after two innings, Evansville would score twice more, once on a solo home run from Mike Spry, and another after some good situational hitting in the seventh to score Kyle Smith after a lead off double. The Otters continue their six game road trip at Kalamazoo Thursday with game time set for 6:05CDT.
