Crestwood, IL - The Evansville Otters got a pair of seventh inning home runs from Eric Blackwell and Frank Meade, but it was not enough to overcome a 7-0 deficit as the Windy City Thunderbolts held on to win 9-6.
The Otters played catch-up the entire game. Gilberto Mejia led off the bottom of the first inning with a single and scored on Robert Perry's double. Perry came around on J.T. Restko's RBI groundout for a 2-0 lead.

Trailing 7-0 entering the seventh inning, the Otters made their move. Travis McCleary walked leading off and scored on Blackwell's fifth home run of the year. With one out, Marcus Rose doubled to right-centerfield and scored when Andre Liscinsky reached on an error Mejia at second base. After Kenny Gilbert drew a walk, Meade hit his fifteenth home run of the year to centerfield, drawing the Otters within 7-6.
The 'Bolts plated a pair of insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth on Restko's single with the bases loaded. Restko finished with four RBIs.
Windy City starter Ricky Meinhold (4-2) allowed two runs in 6 1/3 innings. Otters' starter Stephen Brock (2-3) went 5 1/3 innings, giving up six runs (four earned) on nine hits.
