Ottawa Recalls Burgdoerfer and O'Brien

The Ottawa Senators have recalled defenceman Erik Burgdoerfer and forward Jim O'Brien from the Belleville Senators.

Burgdoerfer has played in 55 games with Belleville this season tallying five goals and 13 points. He also played one game for Ottawa on Jan. 23 against St. Louis.

O'Brien, who signed a two-year, two-way deal Sunday with Ottawa, leads Belleville in scoring this season with 28 points. His 13 goals are the second most on the team.

O'Brien was a first round pick of the Sens in 2007 and played 63 games with Ottawa tallying 12 points (eight goals). He has also played in four games with New Jersey and has appeared in seven Stanley Cup playoff games.

The 29-year-old last played for Ottawa on April 2, 2013.
