Chicago Wolves News Release
GLENVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Wolves announced Monday that defenseman Philip Holm has been loaned to the club by the Vegas Golden Knights. The Golden Knights acquired the 26-year-old Swede via trade with the Vancouver Canucks.
Holm signed with the Canucks as a free agent on May 26, 2017, after he helped Sweden win a gold medal at the 2017 World Championship.
In his first season playing in North America, Holm has spent the majority of the year with the AHL's Utica Comets. He led all Utica blueliners with 11 goals and 29 points through 42 games.
Holm made his NHL debut on Feb. 23 against the Golden Knights.
Prior to this season, Holm spent three seasons (2014-17) skating in the Swedish Hockey League. He collected 37 points (8G, 29A) in 146 career games split between Djurgardens IF (2014-16) and Vaxjo HC (2016-17).
The Wolves host the Texas Stars on Tuesday, Feb. 27, in their final School-Day Game of the season. Puck drop is set for 11 a.m. and the game will stream on AHLLive.com. For complete game and broadcast schedules, visit ChicagoWolves.com.
