Ottawa Assigns Da Costa to Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Ottawa Senators announced this afternoon that they have assigned Stephane Da Costa to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Da Costa began the year in Ottawa after playing in 57 games with Binghamton during the 2012-2013 regular season. Last season Da Costa tallied 13 goals to go with 25 assists, tying him for the team lead in points scored.

Playing in four of Ottawa's first seven games this season, Da Costa was held scoreless while registering two penalty minutes. A native of Paris, France, he has skated in 39 National Hockey League games, all with Ottawa, while registering seven points (four goals, three assists) and 10 penalty minutes.

Da Costa will be eligible to skate with Binghamton tonight when they return to action in a 7:00 p.m. matchup versus the Syracuse Crunch at the War Memorial Arena.
