Lansing Lugnuts News Release
LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced that shortstop Shane Opitz has been promoted to Class A-Advanced Dunedin and shortstop Emilio Guerrero has been reinstated from the 7-day Disabled List in a corresponding move.
Opitz, 21, batted .370 (20-for-54) in 15 games with the Lugnuts, putting together a nine-game hitting streak from April 30th to May 10th. The move marks the Colorado native's debut at the A-Advanced level.
The Lugnuts' roster now consists of 25 active players with seven players on the Disabled List.
