Adirondack Thunder News Release
Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that Opening Night was the first game of three F-150 nights in its partnership with Upstate Ford Dealers this season.
With the new charitable program, Upstate Ford Dealers will buy out Section F, the Upstate Ford Dealers section, at Cool Insuring Arena for three different games this season. On each of the chosen dates, Upstate Ford Dealers will donate 150 tickets to local organizations to hand out to their members.
"This is a fantastic program to strengthen the partnership between the Adirondack Thunder and Upstate Ford Dealers," Thunder General Manager Jeff Mead said. "We always try to give back to our community as much as possible and with this program, the Upstate Ford Dealers are going above and beyond to help out these organizations. Our goal is to allow more people to experience Thunder hockey at Cool Insuring Arena that may not have been able to attend previously."
The recipients for this season are Berkshire Farm, CWI and the Glens Falls Youth Center. The program will continue with games on Saturday, December 15 and Saturday, February 23 throughout the remainder of the Adirondack Thunder season.
"We are extremely excited to continue our charitable efforts and give back to this supportive community," Robert Nemer said on behalf of Upstate Ford Dealers. "Adirondack Thunder hockey is a great night of fun and entertainment and we are happy to help share that experience with as many as possible through our new donation program."
The Thunder hits the ice again Wednesday evening as it goes north of the border to play the Brampton Beast for a 7:15 p.m. game.
