GREENVILLE, SC - Ty Reichenbach made 39 saves to guide the Norfolk Admirals to a 3-2 victory over the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at the Bons Secours Wellness Arena Monday night. With the win, the Admirals (7-3-0-0, 14 pts) grab four of a possible six points on the road trip and now hold sole possession of first place in the South Division.

After a competitive, but scoreless first period of play, the Admirals grabbed the game's first goal at 1:31 of the second period on a great individual effort by Luke Nogard. After firing an outside shot that was stopped by Greenville goaltender Garrett Bartus, Nogard raced to collect the rebound just above the crease, but was knocked down by a defender. Nogard sprung back to his feet, grabbed the puck at the crease and swung it around the leg pad of Bartus for the tally.

Nearly two minutes later, and just seconds after a Norfolk power play chance had expired, John Gustafsson one-timed a shot into the back of the Swamp Rabbits net to extend the Norfolk lead to 2-0. Goaltender Ty Reichenbach made several quality saves for the remainder of the period to secure Norfolk's two-goal edge heading into the second break.

Despite the deficit, Greenville refused to go away, and defenseman Jake Bolton delivered a shot that knuckled into the Norfolk net to pull the Swamp Rabbits within one.

Domenic Alberga gave the Admirals a two-goal edge once again when he picked the pocket of Greenville defender and clipped a shot past Bartus from the low circle to put the game at 3-1.

Bolton struck again from the point, this time on a rocket shot that ripped into the net to pull Greenville within one 3-2. However, the Admirals continued to keep the puck deep in the Greenville end and held on for the 3-2 victory.

Reichenbach was sharp, turning aside of 39 of 41 shots, while Bartus takes the loss making 42 saves on 45 shots
