
Farager Returns to Steelheads, Desrosiers and Pearce to Texas

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads receive goaltender Ryan Faragher after being released from his PTO with the Stockton Heat (AHL), and goaltender Philippe Desrosiers and forward Elgin Pearce have been recalled to the Texas Stars (AHL), Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Monday.
Faragher, 28, was loaned to AHL Stockton on October 27 and made five saves on five shots during 20:00 minutes that night against the Bakersfield Condors before being returned on Saturday. The Fort Frances, Ont., product played two games with the Steelheads prior to his loan, recording a 1-1-0 record with a 3.52 goals-against average and a .863 save percentage. Following his most recent stint in the AHL, Farager owns a 10-13-1 record with a 2.53 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage through 27 games.
Desrosiers, 23, earned his first recall by the Dallas Stars (NHL) to AHL Texas this season. Through six games with the Steelheads, the Saint-Hyacinthe, Que., native posted a 2-3-1 record with a 2.76 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage. The 2013 54th overall pick has played 20 games with AHL Texas since his professional debut in 2015-16, recording a 9-7-0 record with a 2.66 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. Last season, Desrosiers saved 25 of 26 shots through 70:01 minutes over two games with AHL Texas.
Pearce, 26, was recalled by AHL Texas after being re-assigned to the Steelheads on October 20. The Port Coquitlam, B.C., native played five games in Idaho, tallying two assists with 12 penalty minutes and a -3 rating. Before his re-assignment, he played one game with AHL Texas and 11 career AHL games, totaling one goal and two assists for three points.
The Steelheads return to CenturyLink Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7:10 p.m. against the Tulsa Oilers.
