Homecoming for LoVerde and Ebert:
Ontario Reign team captain Vincent LoVerde and defenseman Nick Ebert return to the Inland Empire for the first time since being members of the ECHL's Reign. LoVerde skated in the ECHL from 2011-13, appearing in 91 games and added 12 goals and 29 assists for 41 points. Ebert dressed in four regular-season games and 10 postseason contests during the 2012-13 campaign, totaling 10 points (two goals, eight assists).
Planes, Trains and Automobiles:
The Reign open the season with a three-game road trip and visit Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada next week to battle the Manitoba Moose on Thursday and Saturday at 5:00 p.m. PT.
Preseason Tune-Up:
In two preseason contests against the San Diego Gulls, the Ontario Reign went 0-1-0-1 behind a 3-2 shootout loss and 5-3 setback.
