Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Rosemont, IL--Vladislav Kamenev scored the only goal of the game for the Admirals as they dropped a 5-1 decision to the Chicago Wolves in Amtrak Rivalry action in the first game of the 2015-16 season.

Chicago finished the night with four power-play tallies, including three in the first period alone.

The Wolves struck first on the power-play when Magnus Paaajarvi tipped a shot from the right dot by Andre Benoit past Ads goalie Juuse Saros 5:48 into the game.

After a Jonathan Diaby roughing penalty put the Ads back on the PK, Vladislav Kamenev tied things up with a short-hander at 9:04 of the opening period. Kamenev carried the puck into the Chicago zone and sent a wrister on net from the right circle that slipped by Wolves netminder Jordan Binnington.

Pat Canonne put the Wolves back up when he scored on one-timer from the right post during a 5-on-3 PP, which was followed another power-play marker by Ty Rattie at 16:03 and the Ads were down 3-1.

Chicago added two more in the second period, including one by Jacob Doty with just .5 seconds left in the frame and the Ads were down 5-1 after two.

The Amirals are back in action next Friday when they commence their home season against the Charlotte Checkers at 7 pm at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
