
Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign Ignite Citizens Business Bank Arena Tonight against the Heat

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), host the Stockton Heat tonight at 7:00 p.m. PT at Citizens Business Bank Arena and ring in the New Year with a postgame indoor fireworks and laser show. Tonight is the fourth of 12 meetings between the two teams this season.
Fireworks and Laser Show:
The Ontario Reign host their first-ever indoor fireworks and laser show immediately after tonight's game. Player and coach media availability will be held after the show.
The Last Time We Met:
Last Tuesday, the Reign and Heat collided at Stockton Arena with the Reign skating away with a 2-1 victory. Forward Jonny Brodzinski scored both goals and goaltender Peter Budaj made a season-high 39 saves. The Reign hold a 3-0-0-0 head-to-head record against the Heat this season.
Eliminating Scoring Chances:
The Reign defense, ranked first in the AHL in overall goals-against average (1.92) and second in shots-against average (25.20) face a Heat squad that averages 35.88 shots per game, the highest in the league.
Milestone Watch:
Ontario Reign Head Coach Mike Stothers is two wins away from 100 as a professional head coach. Reign defenseman Jeff Schultz is three games from 600 in his pro career.
