Manitoba Moose Post Game Report - Manitoba vs. Iowa - December 31

Goals:

- Iowa Wild defenceman, Dylan Labbe collected his own rebound and put the puck past Eric Comrie at 16:21 of the first period.

- Moose defenceman, Josh Morrissey scores on the power play with a shot from the slot after a pass from Nic Petan at 5:30 of the second period.

- Nic Petan fires a pass to the slot which is tipped by Chase De Leo on the set play on the powerplay at the 6:06 mark of the second.

- Scott Kosmachuk feeds Austen Brassard on the far side who wrists it past a sliding Jeremy Smith at 7:24 of the second.

- Wild forward Jordan Schroeder comes off his off wing and uses the Moose defenceman as a screen to beat Comrie at 10:13 of the second.

- Wild forward Grayson Downing banged home a rebound on the power play to tie the game at 14:31 of the second.

- Moose forward Scott Kosmachuk streaks down the left side and cuts to the middle where he fires a shot past Smith for the game winning goal at 16:23 of the second.

Highlights/Notes:

- Moose forward, Austen Brassard extended his point streak to five games (3G, 3A) and has scored a goal in three consecutive games.

- Moose defenceman Josh Morrissey had his first two point game of the season scoring a goal and an assist.

- Scott Kosmachuk also had a goal and an assist for his second multi-point game of the season.

- Moose forward Nic Petan had two powerplay assists tonight. It was his third multi-point game in his last five games. He is currently on a three game point scoring streak with six assists during that time.

- Chase De Leo scored his eighth goal of the season and is currently tied with Brenden Kichton for the Moose scoring lead with 17 points. De Leo closes out December by scoring six goals in 11 games this month.

- Eric Comrie made a season high 41 saves in earning his seventh victory of the season. Comrie has been particularly impressive at the MTS Centre where he now has a 6-1-1 record with a 1.97 goals against average and a .927 save percentage.

- The Moose are now above .500 at home for the first time this season with a 6-5-1-1 record.

- Six of the seven goals scored between the two teams were in the second period. Neither team scored in the third period.
