St. John's IceCaps News Release
BINGHAMTON, NY - The Binghamton Senators held off the St. John's IceCaps at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Arena to win 3-2 on New Year's Eve.
The Senators took a 3-0 lead, but the IceCaps were hungry for the puck and potted two quick goals in the second frame. Sven Andrighetto returned from the Montreal Canadiens to snipe the first IceCaps goal of the night, assisted by Bud Holloway and Charles Hudon.
Stefan Fournier scored the second for the IceCaps just 1:24 later, with Michael Bournival and Darren Dietz picking up the helpers. Netminder Zach Fucale was solid in net, stopping 31 of 34 shots.
