PORTLAND, Maine - The annual Eastern League All-Star Game, being played this year on July 13, 2011 in Manchester, N.H., is quickly approaching and once again fans can have a say in who is selected to the mid-season All-Star Game. Fans can vote online at www.easternleague.com for one position player and one pitcher starting today, May 27th, through Sunday, June 27th.

The game, which is being hosted by the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (AA - Toronto Blue Jays), will be played at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium for the second time in four seasons. It will feature the players selected from the Eastern League's Western Division (Akron, Altoona, Bowie, Erie, Harrisburg and Richmond) against players from the league's Eastern Division teams (Binghamton, New Britain, New Hampshire, Portland, Reading and Trenton).

In 2010, Altoona had six players selected to the squad: SS Chase d'Arnaud, C Hector Gimenez, 1B Matt Hague, RHP Derek Hankins, 3B Josh Harrison and LHP Rudy Owens.

Altoona (23-23) begins a seven-game road trip tonight in Binghamton, N.Y. against the Binghamton Mets (14-29) at 7:05 p.m. from NYSEG Stadium. LHP Aaron Thompson (2-4, 4.23) will start on Friday night for Altoona while RHP Jeurys Familia (0-1, 1.42) takes the game ball for the B-Mets.

Airtime on ESPN Radio 1430, WVAM and the Curve Radio Network is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
