
McDade Has Four Hits In Fisher Cats 15-3 Win

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
(Manchester, NH)-Mike McDade went 4-for-5, part of a 17-hit attack, and the Fisher Cats opened a Memorial Day Weekend set with second-place New Britain with a 15-3 win on Friday night before 7,610 fans at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
For first place New Hampshire (31-16), the win was the club's fourth straight, setting a season-mark with both 15 runs and 17 hits. It was also the largest crowd of the season.
Chad Beck (5-0) worked the first 6.1 innings, allowing one run on nine hits. He walked one and struck out five to pick up the win.
New Britain (27-18) opened the scoring in the top of the first inning. Steve Singleton (3-for-5)
doubled, Chris Herrmann walked and Joe Benson singled to load the bases. Chris Parmalee's sacrifice fly scored Singleton and was the only run allowed by Beck.
McDade's second single in the top of the third plated Adeiny Hechavarria (2-for-4, 3 RBI) to tie the game in the third. Hechavarria (2-for-4, 3 RBI) drove in three runs with a double with the bases loaded in the fourth to put the Fisher Cats up 4-1.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, McDade doubled, Moises Sierra (3-for-4, 2 RBI) reached on a single and error scoring McDade, Travis d'Arnaud walked and Sierra scored on a sacrifice fly by Yan Gomes.
After New Britain starter Deolis Guerra (3-5) left after five innings, the Fisher Cats sent ten to the plate, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the sixth against Santos Arias. The inning included a two-RBI single by McDade, an RBI double by Sierra and a three-run homer by d'Arnaud.
New Britain's Evan Bigley hit his third home run of the season, a two-run shot off Fisher Cats reliever Evan Crawford in the eighth.
The Fisher Cats scored twice in the bottom of the eighth on a two-run single by John Tolisano for a 15-3 lead.
