JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins, announced today that LHP Edgar Olmos has been transferred to the Jupiter Hammerheads, in a move Monday April 16, 2012. In a corresponding roster move, RHP Garrett Parcell has been transferred to the Jacksonville Suns from the Jupiter Hammerheads. Parcell is available for Monday's contest in Pensacola, Fla.

Olmos, started one game for Jacksonville in 2012, pitched four innings, giving up one hit, eight walks and two strikeouts in a no decision. He was selected in the third round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft; signed on June 20, 2008

Parcell, had three appearances in Jacksonville in 2011 with a 2.25 ERA, pitched four innings, giving up seven hits, one run, one walk, four strikeouts and recorded a save. He has yet to see the mound in 2012. He was selected in the 12th round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft; signed on June 10, 2007. Parcell will be assigned a number when he arrives in Pensacola on Monday.
