HEADLINES: RedHawks go for 6 in a row ... Hart returns to RedHawk lineup ... Nix continues to deliver

TODAY'S OPPONENT: The Iowa Cubs are the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. They have been a member of the Pacific Coast League since 1998. Last year, the Cubs were 64-75 and finished fourth in the PCL American Conference Northern Division.

TODAY'S GAME: The RedHawks continue their eight-game homestand against Iowa. The RedHawks are on a stretch where they will play 24 of 32 games on the road from May 18-June 18. This is their 56th game this season, 28th home game and first game against Iowa. A win today would give the RedHawks their longest home and overall winning streaks of the season (both six).

LAST GAME: The RedHawks completed a four-game sweep of Albuquerque with a 4-1 win. RedHawk starter Derek Lee went seven innings and gave up one run on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts. Bryan Corey pitched the nine and picked up his sixth save of the season. Adrian Brown hit his first home run as a RedHawk, a two-run shot in the third inning to give Oklahoma a 2-1 lead. Laynce Nix went one-for-three with two RBIs for the RedHawks.

VS. IOWA: The RedHawks are 43-51 all-time against Iowa since the two teams joined the PCL in 1998. The RedHawks are 22-24 against Iowa at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. Last year was the RedHawks first season series win over the Cubs since 2001 when they won five of eight against them.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Relief pitcher Kevin Walker will get the ball first for the RedHawks in a "Johnny Wholestaff" start. Walker has not started a game since 2003 when he made one start with Portland. His last year as a starter was 1998 with the Padres organization. Angel Guzman starts for Iowa . His last start came in a 5-4 Cubs loss against Nashville . He had a no decision and went six innings, giving up two runs on four hits with two walks and seven strikeouts.

STREAKERS: Catcher Tom Gregorio is on a seven-game hit streak dating back to May 19. He is 9-for-25 (.360) with a home run and four RBIs during the streak, raising his average from .154 to .289 (135 rise). Outfielder Freddy Guzman is on a seven-game hit streak dating back to May 27. He is 12-for-28 (.429) during the streak with an RBI. Outfielder Laynce Nix is on a five-game hitting and RBI streak dating back to May 24. He is 7-for-20 (.350) at the plate with three home runs and 11 RBIs during the streak, raising his average from .278 to .291 (13 rise). Relief pitcher Bryan Corey has not allowed an earned run in his last six outings (7.2 IP). He has five saves, nine strikeouts and has allowed three hits and one walk in his last six games.

JASON HART: First baseman Jason Hart was two-for-four with a double last night in his return to the RedHawks. Hart last played for Oklahoma in 2003. He missed 2004 while recovering from surgery to remove a brain tumor, spent all of last year with Double-A Frisco and started 2006 with the Rochester Red Wings in the Minnesota organization. The Rangers acquired Hart for a player to be named later. Hart hit .257 with 46 homers and 165 RBIs in 271 games with Oklahoma in 2002 and 2003. He is second on the team's all-time home runs list behind Scott Sheldon who has 57.

WILL SMITH: In his last nine games, outfielder Will Smith is 13-for-36 (.361) with four doubles, a home run and seven RBIs. He has raised his average from .258 to .294 (26 rise) in the last nine games. He has five two-hit games in his last nine and was two-for-four with a homer and three RBIs May 23 at Colorado Springs.

LAYNCE NIX: Outfielder Laynce Nix has hits in nine of his last 10 games. He is 14-for-40 (.350) with four home runs and 15 RBIs in his last 10 games to raise his average from .260 to .291 (31 rise). He was two-for-four with two homers and five RBIs May 25 at Colorado Springs.

HOME SWEET HOME: Going back to July 22 of last season, the RedHawks are 37-15 (.712) at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark including 1-1 in last year's playoffs against Nashville. They are 36-14 (.720) at home in regular season games since July 22.

CLOSE GAMES: Nineteen of Oklahoma 's 25 wins this season have come by four runs or less, including 11 one-run wins. Also, 22 of Oklahoma's 30 losses this season have come by four runs or less. They have nine losses by one run, six losses by two runs, four losses by three runs and three losses by four runs.

RADIO UPDATE: The RedHawks' flagship station for most games is KEBC 1340 AM. However, there are a few dates the flagship station will change due to scheduling conflicts. The RedHawks will be on AM 1000 KTOK June 10. They will be on KFXY 1640 The Score June 4 and 11.

DOT-DOT-DOTS: The RedHawks' sweep of the Isotopes was their second four-game sweep of the season and their 23rd all-time. Their last sweep was in the first series of the season, April 6-9 against Memphis.
