HEADLINES: RedHawks go for sweep of Isotopes ... Wasdin called up ... Corey closes the door (again)

TODAY'S OPPONENT: The Albuquerque Isotopes are the Triple-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. They have been a member of the Pacific Coast League since 2003. They were previously the Calgary Cannons before moving to Albuquerque after the 2002 season. Last year, the Isotopes were 78-66 and finished 2.5 games out of first in the PCL American Conference Southern Division.

TODAY'S GAME: The RedHawks continue their eight-game homestand against Albuquerque. The RedHawks are on a stretch where they will play 24 of 32 games on the road from May 18-June 18. This is their 55th game this season, 27th home game and 12th game against Albuquerque. If the RedHawks win today, it would be their second four-game sweep of the season ( Memphis April 6-9), 23rd four-game sweep in team history and first sweep of the Albuquerque Isotopes.

LAST GAME: The RedHawks scored all their runs in the first four innings to beat the Isotopes 6-4. Isotope pitching retired the last 13 after the RedHawks took a 6-1 lead in the fourth. Adam Hyzdu went two-for-four with two doubles and two RBIs to lead the RedHawks. Will Smith added two RBIs on a two-for-four night. Chris Ashby led the Isotopes, going two-for-four with two doubles and an RBI.

VS. ALBUQUERQUE: The RedHawks are 52-43 all-time against Calgary/Albuquerque and 34-25 against them since the team became the Isotopes in 2003. They are 20-11 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark against the Isotopes since 2003 and 28-23 against them at home all-time.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Starting pitcher Derek Lee makes his sixth start of the season for the RedHawks. He is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA (16 ER/26.2 IP) as a starter and 0-1 with a 1.23 ERA (1 ER/7.1 IP) in four relief outings. He took the loss in his last start, May 28 at New Orleans. The RedHawks lost 9-8 and he went 4.2 innings, giving up six runs on eight hits with three walks and five strikeouts. Lefty Jason Vargas starts for Albuquerque .

STREAKERS: Catcher Tom Gregorio is on a seven-game hit streak dating back to May 19. He is 9-for-25 (.360) with a home run and four RBIs during the streak, raising his average from .154 to .289 (135 rise). Outfielder Freddy Guzman is on a six-game hit streak dating back to May 27. He is 10-for-25 (.400) during the streak with an RBI. Relief pitcher Bryan Corey has not allowed an earned run in his last five outings (6.2 IP). He has four saves, seven strikeouts and has allowed three hits and one walk in his last five games.

JASON HART: First baseman Jason Hart has rejoined the RedHawks. Hart last played for Oklahoma in 2003. He missed 2004 while recovering from surgery to remove a brain tumor, spent all of last year with Double-A Frisco and started 2006 with the Rochester Red Wings in the Minnesota organization. The Rangers acquired Hart for a player to be named later. Hart hit .257 with 46 homers and 165 RBIs in 271 games with Oklahoma in 2002 and 2003. He is second on the team's all-time home runs list behind Scott Sheldon who has 57.

WILL SMITH: In his last nine games, outfielder Will Smith is 13-for-36 (.361) with four doubles, a home run and seven RBIs. He has raised his average from .258 to .294 (26 rise) in the last nine games. He has five two-hit games in his last nine and was two-for-four with a homer and three RBIs May 23 at Colorado Springs.

LAYNCE NIX: Outfielder Laynce Nix has hits in eight of his last nine games. He is 13-for-37 (.351) with four home runs and 13 RBIs in his last nine games to raise his average from .260 to .289 (29 rise). He was two-for-four with two homers and five RBIs May 25 at Colorado Springs.

HOME SWEET HOME: Going back to July 22 of last season, the RedHawks are 36-15 (.706) at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark including 1-1 in last year's playoffs against Nashville. They are 35-14 (.714) at home in regular season games since July 22.

CLOSE GAMES: Eighteen of Oklahoma 's 24 wins this season have come by four runs or less, including 11 one-run wins. Also, 22 of Oklahoma's 30 losses this season have come by four runs or less. They have nine losses by one run, six losses by two runs, four losses by three runs and three losses by four runs.

RADIO UPDATE: The RedHawks' flagship station for most games is KEBC 1340 AM. However, there are a few dates the flagship station will change due to scheduling conflicts. The RedHawks will be on AM 1000 KTOK June 3 and 10. They will be on KFXY 1640 The Score June 4 and 11.
