
Division-leading Sidewinders return home to take on Portland and Salt Lake

Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Sidewinders will return from their third road trip of the season to host the Portland Beavers and Salt Lake Bees beginning Saturday, June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. The Sidewinders have moved back into first place in the Pacific Southern Division, building a game and a half lead over the Las Vegas 51s by winning two of three on the road heading into tonight's action.
Centerfielder Chris Young has been locked in at the plate, batting .375 (9-for-24) with six runs, four doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI over his last 6 games. Young has gone deep and posted multi-hit outings in three of his last five contests and is now third on the team with seven home runs.
The Sidewinders will kick off the homestand by giving away replica figurines of Tucson alum and current Diamondback first baseman Conor Jackson on Saturday, June 3rd. The first 2,000 fans with paid admission with receive the first of a three part series which also includes figurines of Luis Gonzalez' World Series winning hit to be given away on August 19th and Stephen Drew which is currently available in the team shop.
Friday, June 9th marks the team's annual Military Appreciation Night that will feature a pre-game flyover by four A-10's of the 358th Fighter Squadron based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. After the game fans will have the rare opportunity to camp on Tucson Electric Park's outfield grass during Sidewinder Sleepover.
